On Monday, March 24th, the Varsity Baseball team traveled to face the St. John's Catholic Prep Vikings in their first MIAA 'B' conference game, narrowly falling 3-2 despite an impressive pitching effort that tallied 11 strikeouts. The team bounced back on Wednesday with a dominant 14-0 victory over Indian Creek, powered by Jack Bruffey's outstanding performance, which included six RBIs and a grand slam during a massive 11-run fifth inning. Contributions from John Davis, Brody Clark, Hayden Pittler, Colt Gingher, and Brayden Gmeiner bolstered the offensive surge. Despite their efforts, the Gerstell Falcons faced a tough 13-2 loss to the Boys Latin Varsity Lakers on Friday. The Lakers secured their win with an eight-run third inning. Brody Clark and Craig Meseke each contributed an RBI for the Falcons, while Jack Bruffey led the team in hits, going 2-for-3 at the plate.
