Falcons Shine at FIRST Chesapeake FTC Qualifier

Congratulations to our Upper School FTC Robotics Team 6390 on an outstanding performance at the FIRST Chesapeake FTC Qualifier held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Francis Scott Key High School in Union Bridge, Maryland.

The 6390 Falcons excelled throughout the competition, securing an impressive 5th place ranking out of 33 teams. This high placement earned them the honor of being the 3rd Alliance Captains for the playoff matches—a distinction achieved by only 12 teams in the event.

The all-day competition was both challenging and rewarding, beginning with inspections and panel judging in the morning, followed by five qualification matches and culminating in the playoffs. Representing Gerstell Academy with passion, persistence, and teamwork, five dedicated students from our Upper School Robotics class demonstrated exceptional leadership and determination as they competed against teams from Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia.

We are incredibly proud of Team 6390 for their hard work and outstanding performance. Their success reflects the values of commitment and innovation that define our Falcons. Go, Team 6390!
