The Falcons Co-Ed Basketball Day Camp offers specialized basketball instruction with an emphasis on the fundamentals essential to developing a player’s game, including rebounding, ball-handling, passing, shooting, and defense. Each day the campers will get to apply these skills in 3-on-3 and/or 5-on-5 games. The goal of the camp is to help improve players of all abilities by increasing their enthusiasm and self-confidence.

Falcons Junior All-Sports Day Camp For Girls
Camp Director: Roxanne Cannaday
Ages: 5 thru 10
Time: Day Camp: 9:00am-3:00pm
Cost: $225 per player

The Falcons Junior All-Sports Day Camp for Girls is designed to be an introduction to many sports. Over the course of the five day experience, girls will learn the basic fundamentals of volleyball, basketball, tennis, soccer, softball, and lacrosse. They will be instructed by experienced coaches, assisted by junior counselors. Campers will learn teamwork and good sportsmanship. Team spirit will also be encouraged with fun cheers and skits each morning during the opening assembly. In the afternoon, after a lunch break, the girls will have a brief arts and crafts session to relax before an afternoon of organized sports. Most importantly, they will learn to enjoy sports in a positive and supportive atmosphere.

June 24-28
Falcons Junior All-Sports Camp for Boys
Camp Director: Stephen Hirsch
Ages: 5 thru 11
Time: Day Camp: 9:00am-3:00pm
Cost: $225 per player
EARLY BIRD SPECIAL: $190 per player if registered by May 1st
This camp will allow boys an opportunity to participate in a wide variety of sports including soccer, basketball, flag football, floor hockey, volleyball, tennis, lacrosse, and baseball. The campers will be split into 2 age groups while participating in each activity. They will be instructed by experienced coaches who are assisted by junior counselors. Our goal is for your child to have fun, learn the skills involved in each sport, and practice working as a team all while meeting new friends.

July 8-12
Adventure Camp
Camp Director: Mary Beth Creed & Stephen Hirsch
Ages: Rising 5th graders to Rising 9th graders
Time: Day Camp: 9:00am-4:00pm
Cost: $350 per player
Adventure Camp is specifically designed for students entering the 6th through 9th grade. Each day campers will leave Gerstell Academy on a bus for a fun and adventurous trip. Adventure Camp will allow campers the opportunity to socialize with each other while enjoying a new activity each day. Adventure camp will be directed by Mary Beth Creed and Stephen Hirsch who are both Physical Education and Health Teachers at Gerstell Academy. In addition to teaching both are coaches within the Middle and Upper School coaching various sports team. Other counselors will include rising high school seniors from Gerstell Academy. All Directors and Counselors are CPR and First Aid Certified.
Family Bonus: Any available space on the bus will be offered to parents and siblings who would like to join the campers on each adventure for a minimum transportation fee. Family members will be responsible for all entrance fees at each location. Any child not attending camp must be chaperoned by a parent at all times.

July 15-19
Junior Adventure Camp
Camp Director: Mary Beth Creed & Stephen Hirsch
Ages: Rising 2nd graders to Rising 6th graders
Time: Day Camp: 9:00am-4:00pm
Cost: $350 per player
Junior Adventure Campl is specifically designed for students entering 2nd through 6th grade. Each day, campers will leave Sandymount Park on a bus for a fun and adventurous trip. Activities will range from trips to National Aquarium, Bowling, and Adventure Land USA. Campers will also have the opportunity to play laser tag, miniature golf, spend an afternoon at the pool, and much more. Junior Adventure Camp will allow campers the opportunity to socialize with each other while enjoying a new activity each day.

Art and Technology Camp
Camp Director: Rachel Smith and Mary Beth Creed
Ages: Rising Kindergarteners to Rising 5th graders
Time: Day Camp: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
Cost: $225 per camper; mutiple sibling discounts avaliable
Art and Technology camp is a new opportunity this summer here at Gerstell Academy. This camp will allow your child to express their creativity in new mediums and experiment with advanced technology skills. Each day the students will participate in different groups to complete art and technology activities. They will also be given a block of time each day to participate in an outdoor activity with Ms. Creed. Sample art projects may include: glue resist watercolor painting, clay, printmaking, charcoal, pastels, scratchboard, acrylic painting, and drawing. Sample technology projects may include: Lego robotics, web page building, basic animation/programming skills, and digital art. Ms. Creed and Ms. Smith are looking forward to working with your children!
