Statement on Admissions

The Gerstell Academy, incorporated in 1996 by Dr. Frederick G. Smith, is an independent, non-profit, co-educational, non-sectarian, college preparatory school offering students an educational program of excellence in a community focused on the Gerstell Mission, Motto, Leadership, Honor, Courage and Gerstell Principles. We seek to maximize the potential of each student to become a leader by developing moral and ethical decision-making skills, problem-solving abilities, appropriate social skills, physical fitness, and intellectual discernment. The core curriculum supports the development of leadership abilities and provides the foundation for values, knowledge and skills essential to a Gerstell education. Parental understanding and involvement are integral to our educative process and to the fulfillment of the Gerstell Academy mission.

Gerstell Academy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin, to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, scholarship and loan programs and athletic and other school-administered programs.
